I go for the leaf ...
I go for the leaf it's much? better inside everyone thinks its dumb but it's not

Rave on the PHEV ...
Rave on the PHEV prius is expected to begin delivery 2nd quarter 2012 full on delivery 2013. What I am wondering is how many will just go buy the panasonic battery pack and have their existing hybrid prius converted into a plugin electric hybrid vehicle. Our drive to work is but 6 miles return trip is 8 this means the prius is ideal? for our daily use. The ideal car will be a diesel plug in electric hybrid vehicle this way the fuel will not turn on you? Until then stabil? Ron Paul 2012

i would go for a ...
i would go for a third generation leaf with (hopefully) triple the? range

Agreed, having a ...
Agreed, having a battery for when there is no power under the road seems to be the best solution. I think that a solution could be found to keep track of usage charges. Perhaps a meter with a mobile phone? sim card that sits between the induction plate and the rest of the cars electrical system. It would need to be tamper proof with regular software updates to weed out hackers. If no payment is received the device will not allow charging.

Dude, the LEAF is ...
Dude, the LEAF is one of the dumbest thing I think I have ever seen. At least get a? good looking electric like the Volt.

i? drive a tanker ...
i? drive a tanker for shell, plz don't buy these..lol

Volt look? "awesome ...
Volt look? "awesome". i would certainly buy volt cuz leaf looks kinda girly.

@dustziggy That is ...
@dustziggy That is a pretty good idea, other than the fact that not all roads would be electrified. I would hate to have a car that could only drive on those roads with electricity in them. I? say keep the battery in the car, but also electrify the roads. That would give you the best of both worlds. The only problem is keeping track of usage and charging for the electricity in the roads. Nobody is going to give you free power.

I say forget ...
I say forget batteries, provide electric induction plates under the? road surface to power vehicles. There are power lines next to most roads, how hard can it be?

Pure electric is ...
Pure electric is best, but if you have to go half way, the Volt is? a great alternate! For those of us too poor to buy either, I found a great elec re-build place in Florida: Rebirth Auto, LLC rebirthauto(dot com) Kinda like the idea of building (or having buit) my own. You know, starve the beast.

@malaiseguy314 They ...
@malaiseguy314 They wont, until it's profitable for them - that's the problem here. That, and the charging stations need to become as ubiquitous as gas stations, ranges will have to increase exponentially for pure electric vehicles, less hideous designs, and charging needs to be MUCH faster (people dont have time to wait for that crap, come on...the fast charge on the volt is 20 minutes to 80%, but that's still a wait? if in a hurry)...if they do all of THAT, then they'd profit, we'd see change.

I uploaded a video ...
I uploaded a video about Battery swapping, if you can charge at home AND swap your battery then goodbye gas! Electric cars are MUCH quicker, see my Playlists. The Bush Admin pushed Fuel Cell cars, WHY? Well, the ex-oilman knew that Oil Companies would switch to selling us Hydrogen. NOTE: Fuel Cell Cars ARE ELECTRIC Cars. Biggest holder of Battery patents? ExxonMobil. The same company that gets Fed $ lobbied to let new? battery companies starve then bought the patents. Why? Protect Profit.

@malaiseguy314 Not ...
@malaiseguy314 Not to be rude, but you are mistaken with this statement. The Volt DOES NOT? need gasoline to run. If there is a charge on the battery, then the vehicle will only run off the electric motor and battery (except for certain situations where it will run on both when it is needed). The the gasoline generator only kicks on when needed.

The Volt is a ...
The Volt is a failed concept to begin with. During a time when everyone's moving away from gasoline, Chevy made the Volt requiring gasoline to power its battery. Albeit? it's for the purpose of "extended range", but come on.... my 1998 Suburu already has the same range per tank of gas as the Volt. If people at Chevy were actually using their brains, they' d be making pure electric cars while spending resources in extending battery range.

It was my ...
It was my understanding the volt was rated at. 93 Mpg combined rating. Plus its not ugly as hell like the leaf. C'mon seriously. Would you be caught dead in? that thing

Well even though ...
Well even though the prius is last they are creating a? plug in hybrid just like the volt. :) It will be coming out on 2012

i cant travel with ...
i cant travel with the leaf ... must have? volt

so in 5 years ...
so in 5 years everyone drives an electric car so who will pay for road maintenance as where were not paying gas tax ? its gotta come from somehwere eithering raising registration rates or electricity? cost

volt got? owned
volt got? owned

@CAESARbonds The ...
@CAESARbonds The leaf is? owned

You forgot ...
You forgot something! The LEAF has a 30 minute quick charge? as the volt doesn't

That cars ganna be ...
That cars ganna be f**ked when a? downpour hits :/

Why wont they loose ...
Why wont they loose the stupid cord idea and get with the charging pad revoloution.... think about it just park your car on top of the charging pad and it would automatically charge... seems like common sense would be to drop the one design flaw in all electric cards ie the cord like tale that follows you every where. Plugging in? 1 to 2 times a day... why not just "dock" it on a pad?

GO DETROIT?
GO DETROIT?

i seriously am ...
i seriously am patriotic in thinking about the volt but my logic is screwing me over. let me get? this straight... volt and prius air system+gasoline system+fire system+electrical system=electric? vs. lea electrical system=electric? i guess i'll have to wait for ford.

@jeffpeterson47 The ...
@jeffpeterson47 The Leaf will most commonly be charged? from a 220/240 volt outlet, not a 110/120 or 480.

@sventoby We did. ...
@sventoby We did. Ford made a functional electric vehicle in 1913 (almost? 100 yrs ago) that didn't go into production. Gas companies keep many forms of fuel off of the market. One of them being batteries.

@jeffpeterson47 LOL ...
@jeffpeterson47 LOL, now you will just have to worry about "will their be gas ten years from now" or at? least gas I can afford to buy!
